Arthur Worley

Arthur Charles Worley was born January 4, 1927 in Webster County, Nebraska to Ralph and Eva Mae Churchill Worley. He passed away from this life on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Grandview Manor Nursing Home, Campbell, Nebraska at the age of 83.

Art was the second of nine born to Ralph and Mae Churchill Worley. He attended Webster District #54 School. He married Myrtle Crouse on December 26, 1952 in Smith Center, KS. To this union 4 children were born, Eugene, Nancy Dan and Lynn. He lived and farmed on the Worley family homestead, southeast of Campbell. He was a farmer, and a custom trucker, harvester, baler and tree cutter. He enjoyed going to auctions, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Myrtle, Campbell, NE; daughter Nancy Golter and husband Larry, Campbell, NE; sons: Eugene Worley and wife Pauline, Minden, NE; Dan Worley and wife Charlotte, Battle Creek, NE; Lynn Worley and wife Linda, Camdenton, MO; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; Brothers: Ivan Worley and wife Bonnie, Hastings, NE; Lester Worley of Blue Hill, NE; Sisters: Neoma Mattison and husband Bernard, Kearney, NE; Iva Beach and husband Clifford, Blue Hill, NE; Eunice Pearson, Blue Hill, NE; Doris Dallmann and husband Virgil, Franklin, NE; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers- Lloyd and Harvey, 2 sisters-in-law, and 1 brother in law.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Monday, August 9, 2010 at Upland United Methodist Church with Pastor Ivan Schoone officiating. Visitation will be from 12PM to 8PM Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8PM. Burial will be in Upland Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Campbell Fire District, Grandview Manor Van Fund or Upland United Methodist Church.
