Franklin, Nebraska resident Beverly A. (Schmidt) Walker, 73, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Franklin Senior Center or Morrison Cancer Center of Mary Lanning. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, January 5^th, 2024, at Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Kasey Loschen officiating. Inurnment will follow in Riverton Cemetery.

Bev was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska on June 16, 1950, to Gene and Anna (Bienhoff) Schmidt. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1969. She married Don Walker on August 12, 1977. They made their home in Riverton, Nebraska for many years before she moved to Franklin.

Bev worked various jobs throughout her lifetime. She served as a board member for the Senior Center and when she retired, she loved volunteering and helping there as much as she could.

She loved getting dressed up for all the holidays and gatherings. She could be found cheering on the Huskers or playing pitch. She will be missed by her family and numerous friends.

Beverly will be forever remembered by her niece Michele Gibson (Brett) and their children Adalynn and Brayden of Sutton; niece Edie Billiar of Sutton; nephew Jeremy Jackson (Kelly) and their children Emma and Jacob of Riverton; nephew Travis Jackson (Jessica) and their children Madison, Cole, Rylee, and Liam of Franklin; nephew Jesse Jackson (Erica) and their children Bradley, Jarret (Nicole) of Breely, CO and nephew Rodney Edgar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Anna Schmidt; husband Don; sister Kathy Walker; brothers Melvin and Richard Schmidt.
