Carol Saathoff

March 12, 1943 — November 25, 2015

Carol Beth Saathoff, 72 years of age, of Franklin passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was born on March 12, 1943 in Smith Center, Kansas to Cecil Goracke and Norma Paulson Goracke. The family moved to rural Naponee, Nebraska where Beth attended school and graduated from Naponee High School. She was united in marriage to Harold LeRoy Saathoff on August 20, 1961 at the Franklin United Methodist Church

The couple lived at Ft. Riley, Kansas while Harold served in the U.S. Army and later moved to Franklin, Nebraska where they made their home. This union was blessed with two children, Scott and Natalie. Beth was a caregiver all of her life, to her family, the children she babysat for, and for the patients at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital when she worked there. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved following their school activities. She was a member of the Franklin County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Beth is survived by her son, Scott Saathoff and wife Deb of Franklin; daughter, Natalie Bienhoff and husband Curtis of Kensington, Kansas; grandchildren, Kyle Bienhoff and wife Morgan, Michaela Bienhoff, Quinten, Skyler and Cassandra Saathoff; brother, Ronnie Goracke and wife Vicki of Minden Nebraska; sisters, Donna Rose and husband Rodney of Franklin, and Janie Kugler of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother in law, Larry Saathoff of Hastings, Nebraska; sisters in law, Kathy Hunnicutt of Grand Island, Nebraska and Carolyn Sturtevant and Norma Saathoff both of Hastings, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Norma Goracke; husband, Harold LeRoy Saathoff; infant twin siblings, Marvin and Marvel Goracke; brothers in law and sisters in law.
