Harold Pedersen

Harold Fay Pedersen was born to Neils and Emma (Burr) Pedersen on a farm by Upland, Nebraska on August 30, 1924 and passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Grandview Manor, Campbell, Nebraska. Harold attended grade school in District 60 northeast of Franklin.

He worked at various jobs until he started farming northeast of Franklin with his brother Norris in 1950. On December 1, 1963, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie Dunn. This union was blessed with four sons: Robert Lee, David Lynn, LeRoy Alan and Stanley Dean.

Harold was engaged in farming until his health failed him and he became a resident of nursing home care in 1997. Harold was a lover of trees, farming, and his livestock. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife- Dorothy, son LeRoy Alan, brother Milton Pedersen and sister Neva Holmberg.

He is survived by his sons: Robert Lee and wife Shirley, Smith Center, KS; David Lynn and wife Deb, Franklin, NE; Stanley Dean and wife Dayna, Amorita, OK; Grandchildren: Brent and Brian Pedersen, Franklin, NE; Michael Pedersen, Lincoln, NE; Becky Pedersen, Lincoln, NE; Colton Pedersen, Amorita, OK; Step Grandchildren: T.J. Jameson, Bladen, NE; Jamey Jameson and wife Shannon, Bladen, NE; Step great grandchildren: Portia, Gabrienne and Jase Jameson, McCook, NE; Dakota and Canyen Jameson, Bladen, NE; brother Norris Pedersen and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska, with Rev. Baron Cole officiating. Visitation will be 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday, June 18, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. The family suggests memorials to the Franklin County Memorial Hospital.
