Jack Monroe Blank, of Franklin, Nebraska, was born July 24, 1939, at Lincoln, Nebraska. He was adopted by John C. and Lottie Elizabeth (Schurmer) Blank, and died January 29, 2014, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Nebraska, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 5 days.
Jack attended Franklin School, and was a great athletic during his high school years. When he was 17 he joined the United States Air Force, and was discharged in March 1959. Jack moved around the country over the years. He worked as a carpenter, building trailer houses, homes, and commercial structures.
He is survived by two children: Chris Blank and Jackie Celeste Blank of Louisiana; and three sister including - Kay and husband, Thomas Bachmann of Omaha, Nebraska, and Peggy Blank of Lyons, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial services for Jack M. Blank, will be (was) held Monday, February 3, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hutchins Funeral Home Chapel, Franklin, Nebraska, with Pastor Roger Frederick officiating. Inurnment will be (was) in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. Memorials can be given to the donor's choice. Online condolences can be left at www.hutchinsfh.com.
