Kenneth "K.C" Long, age 62 of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at Bryan LGH East on July 29, 2012. He was born in Orleans, NE on December 10, 1949 to Kenneth and Wilma Long.

He began his contracting career with Planks Construction in Franklin, NE. He later formed his own company, Long Construction while in Franklin, NE.

On August 17, 1985 he married the love of his life, Pat Ingram, Franklin, NE. They relocated to Lincoln where Kenneth was employed with Lincoln Lumber Company. Years later he returned to his passion as an independent contractor, and was in business for 42 years.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Kenneth loved keeping in touch with people. He was well-known for his lengthy telephone conversations and stories.


Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Pat Long; two sons, J.C. Long and wife Jaime, of Yutan, Chace Long and wife Kelli, Lincoln; step-daughter Kari Yelken and husband Mike, Franklin; step-son, Shad Ingram and wife Windy, Franklin; Ten grandchildren, Jaydin, Jancye, Jenna, Reagan, Beckett, Madison, Abigail, Brittney, Skyler and Colby; brother, Dave Long and wife Patty, Aurora; mother-in-law, Ellen Blank, Franklin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wilma Long.
