Marjorie Darlene Morgan age 88 of Republican City, Nebraska died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital. She will be forever remembered by her children: Ladena Thom (Thomas), Hastings, NE, Anita Webster (Dennis), Lincoln, NE, John Brumbaugh (Leasa), Republican City, NE, George Brumbaugh (Kimberly), Kearney NE, and John Morgan (Aisha) Hastings, NE; 8 grandchildren: Georgie Lehmkul, Jami Jackson, Casey Thom, Chelsea Thom, Anthony Einsphar, Jeremy Webster, Matthew Webster, and Jeffrey Webster; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; sister Jone Potter, Inavale, NE; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by son James Brumbaugh, daughter Regina Hendrickson, grandsons Chad and Michael Hendrickson, brother Earl Morgan and her parents.
Marjorie was born August 20, 1932 at Smith Center, Kansas to Earl M. and Ruby Ilene (Barnes) Morgan. She attended schools in Smith Center. In her early years, Marjorie worked various jobs. For several years she worked in several positions at Hastings Regional Center. In 1975 she purchased the Little Mexico restaurant in Republican City. She owned and operated this well-known eating establishment for many years until she retired.
When her health no longer allowed her to live independently in her own home in Republican City, she entered the Arbor Care Home in Franklin where she lived until her death.
A family graveside service will be held held Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 at the Republican City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska assisted the Morgan family with these arrangements.
