Robert James Brown (Bobby) of Bloomington passed away peacefully in Franklin Nebraska on Saturday, October 24, 2020, surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 68.
Bobby was born on November 9, 1951, in Denver, Colorado to Verl and Elda Brown. He was the oldest of five kids. He Graduated from West High school where he was a gymnast and competed on the West High Gymnastics Team.
He was preceded in death by his father Verl Brown, Mother Elda Brown and sister Belinda Brown Jackson and a great granddaughter.
He was survived by his Brothers Brad Brown, Alan Brown & Verl Brown. 7 children, Kandie Vialpando, Nichole Chabanik, Phillip Brown, Steven Brown, Tammy, Tabitha and Bobby Alexander. He has 33 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In the late 1980's Bobby moved his family from Colorado to California to work for Ramond, one of the largest stucco and plastering companies in the world. His work was his passion and he was incredibly proud of all the places it took him. From building some of the largest buildings in Los Angeles, Sony Studios, attractions at Disney World in Florida, all the way to Hawaii. Bobby loved to travel and meet celebrities. He later went on to start his own stucco business, Statewide Plastering. He was a true perfectionist when it came to his work, and anyone who met him would hear all the stories.
Bobby later retired in 2009 in Franklin Nebraska and bought property in Bloomington where he lived. It didn't take any time for him to plant his first garden. He canned just about everything he grew! His joy was his kids, grandchildren, his garden and cat Senna.
Following the wishes of Robert, cremation has taken place and there will a Memorial Service to honor his life 11:00am Saturday, November, 7, 2020 at the Evangelical Free Church, Franklin, Nebraska with Pastor Bill Stearns officiating. Family inurnment will take place at a later time. Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska assisted the Brown family with these arrangements.
