Robert Wentworth

Robert Louis Wentworth passed away from this life on October 19, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Franklin, Nebraska at the age of 84. He was born July 2, 1926 in Franklin, Nebraska to Joseph Ray and Emma Edna Eggleston Wentworth.

He graduated from Franklin High School. He married Betty Reed on January 23, 1949, in Riverton, NE. To this union 5 children were born, Sheila, Joel, LuAnn, Rodney and Stacy. They later divorced. He worked for Yellow Cab Company as head mechanic in Omaha, Nebraska and Colorado Springs, Colorado, until retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his children Sheila Martin (Jack), Holly Ridge, NC; Joel Wentworth (Laurey Steinke), Omaha, NE; LuAnn Zale Schafer (Tom), Wamego, KS; Stacy Stevens, Omaha, NE; brothers: Leland Neal Wentworth Sr. (Gaylene), Franklin, NE; Dean Wentworth, Hastings, NE; David Wentworth, San Diego, CA; grandchildren: 12; great grandchildren: 4. He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Rodney, and brother Raymond Paul.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home with Bishop Vern Kendell officiating. Burial will follow services at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitaion will be 12Pm to 8PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Mid Nebraska Food Bank.
