Roy Laux

Roy "Bob" W. Laux passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Nebraska at the age of 86.

Roy "Bob" William Laux was born July 5, 1922 on the family farm 3 miles north of Macon to William and Mary (Coltrin) Laux. He passed away from this life on October 29, 2008 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Nebraska, at the age of 86. He attended School District #25 and went to Franklin High School for one year and then had to help at home with farming. He was baptized and confirmed in the Macon Methodist Church. He married Virginia Patton on June 23, 1943 at Smith Center, Kansas. They lived on No. 4 Highway on the farm until 1974 before moving to the home place. To this union were born Ronald, Warren, and Leann. They all attended Hildreth Public Schools and attended Kearney State College. Roy was a member of the Hildreth School Board, Farmers Union Coop at Upland, served on the Macon Union Cemetery Board and the Macon Telephone Company. He was a faithful follower of his son's football games and grandchildren activities.
