Shirley Saathoff

Shirley J. Saathoff passed away from this life on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. She was born November 30, 1934 in Huntley, Nebraska to George and Evelyn Graham Albers.

Shirley graduated from Bloomington High School. She married Edward Saathoff on June 14, 1953 in Ash Grove Lutheran Church. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, LWML, Sarah Circleand was an officer for Thrivent Financial- Franklin Branch.

She is survived by daughter Deb Krueger and husband Steve, Blue Hill, NE; sons: Bill Saathoff and wife Cindy, Naponee, NE; Jim Saathoff and wife Naomi, Naponee, NE; Steve Saathoff and wife Kitt, Lincoln, NE; Grandchildren: Carisa Cox and husband Jeff, Blue Hill, NE; Jessica Krueger, Kansas City, MO; Joshua Krueger, Kansas City, MO; Megan Wilsey and husband Tony, Naponee, NE; Mallory Kernes and husband Jeff, McCracken, KS; Kendall Saathoff, Naponee, NE; Danielle Saathoff, Naponee, NE; Kellyn Saathoff, Naponee, NE; Marielle Saathoff, Lincoln, NE; Annaliese Saathoff, Lincoln, NE; Great Grandchildren: Alayna and Olivia Cox, Blue Hill, NE; Alexas Wilsey, Minden, NE; Aaliiyah, Zayden, Oriannyah Wilsey, Naponee, NE; brother Edward Albers and wife Joyce, Franklin, NE; sister Georgette Kuehn and husband Danny, Sapulpa, OK; sisters-in-law Ruth Albers, Hastings, NE; Beverly Saathoff, Hastings, NE; Jeanette Fischer and husband Keith, Alma, NE; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband- Edward, son- George, brother Wayne Albers, sister Dorothy Gardner and husband Boots, brother-in-law Fred Saathoff, sisters-in-law Evelyn and Wendell Terry and Elva Ziegler and husband Keith.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church, Franklin, Nebraska. Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Hutchins Funeral Home. Burial will follow services in Naponee Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Grace Lutheran Church.
