Shirley Short

Shirley Corrine Short passed away from this life on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Nebraska at the age of 82. She was born June 26, 1926 to Geneva Cissne in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended Central High School in Pueblo, CO. She worked for Neff Instruments in Monrovia, CA. She met her companion Jim Bowyer in January 1966. She enjoyed working crosswords, playing golf, camping and gambling. She is survived by her companion Jim Bowyer, Franklin, NE; son Fred Short, Talent, OR; daughters Sharon Head and husband Jim, Cottonwood, AZ; Patty Zapel and husband Bill, Rockvale, CO; Jan Stuart, Rancho Cordova, CA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Pam Kithcart. There will be no funeral services. The body was cremated. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
